Job summary

HK Express is seeking a Supervisor, Engineering Commercial to oversee sourcing, supplier engagement, and contracting within the Maintenance & Engineering department. You will source and evaluate suppliers for aircraft maintenance, repairs, and materials, and lead negotiations to balance cost, service level, and quality.

You will collaborate with engineering, procurement and legal teams, maintain supplier records, and drive cost-control initiatives while ensuring compliance with aviation

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in airline engineering, procurement, MRO, or aviation.
• Understanding of sourcing, tendering, and contract administration processes.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, problem solving and coordination skills.
• Team-oriented with analytical and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with SGHA and aviation regulatory and quality requirements is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and English/Chinese (Mandarin preferred).

Role And Responsibilities

Engineering Commercial

The Supervisor, Engineering Commercial is responsible for managing commercial aspects and supplier engagement within the Maintenance & Engineering department. This includes sourcing, evaluating, and contracting with suppliers for aircraft maintenance, components repairs & material supplies, store & logistics and technical services to ensure value, performance, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Conduct sourcing and evaluation of maintenance & engineering related suppliers.
• Lead RFP, RFQ and contract terms negotiations to optimize cost, service level, and quality.
• Maintain supplier database, contract records, and performance tracking reports.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with maintenance & engineering, procurement, and legal teams to draft, review, and approve contracts.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, pricing trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure supplier compliance with aviation regulations (e.g. EASA, FAA, HKCAD) and company quality standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for engineering commercials.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and contract management functions.
• Handle ad-hoc projects assigned by management.

AOC Level Safety

• Responsible for complying with the company Safety Policy and other associated policies applicable to the position.
• Responsible for reporting hazards and events concerning safety and security through company’s safety reporting system.
• Responsible for participating in and/or completing the safety, security or quality related training as assigned by the company, within the specified timeframe.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years’ relevant working experiences in airline engineering, procurement, MRO, or aviation related field.
• Understanding of sourcing, tendering, and contract administration processes.
• Negotiation, supplier management, problem solving, effective coordination and communication skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with Analytical and stakeholder management abilities.
• Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic industry environment.
• Familiar with SGHA framework, regulatory and quality requirements in the aviation industry will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin is preferred.
