Job summary

Gfi World in Hong Kong invites an experienced Structural Engineer to support its data centre building project. You will lead on-site inspections, review materials and workmanship, and ensure safety and quality throughout the construction phase.

You will coordinate with engineers, architects, and clients to keep projects on time and within budget, while ensuring all works comply with local regulations and corporate procedures. Fluency in English and Chinese is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher diploma in civil or structural engineering.
• Corporate membership with HKIE/IMechE/CIBSE or IET.
• Minimum 4 years design experience on major building projects; data centre experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong written and spoken English and Chinese.

Your role:

• Carry out independent inspection on site, as well as regular review and monitor the quality of materials and workmanship
• Coordinate with different professionals and clients to ensure that the projects are well completed on time and within budget
• Ensure the structural works are complying with the regulation and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or relevant higher diplomas in civil engineering, or structural engineering discipline
• Corporate Member of professional institution of HKIE, IMechE, CIBSE or IET.
• Min. 4 years design experience for major building projects, with data center experience is an advantage
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Good communication and interpersonal skill
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, able to communicate with clients and consultants (Chinese and English)
• Mid-levels to senior levels are also welcome
