Job summary

Huatai International Financial Holdings Company Limited seeks a senior communications professional to lead media relations and corporate communications in Hong Kong. You will develop bilingual materials, manage digital channels, and monitor the media landscape for reputation risks.

You will coordinate with internal stakeholders, oversee agencies, and drive initiatives across media events and industry awards, leveraging deep knowledge of both Chinese and international markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Finance, Marketing or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in media relations, corporate communications or reputation management.
• Fluency in Chinese and English with Cantonese and Putonghua beneficial.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong and international media landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Hong Kong, Mainland Chinese, and international media.
• Lead media engagement including outreach, interviews, and inquiries.
• Develop bilingual (Chinese/English) communications materials such as press releases and Q&A.
• Manage corporate digital channels (WeChat, website, etc.).
• Monitor media landscape and identify reputation risks; coordinate responses.
• Support corporate communications initiatives, media events, and industry awards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and oversee external agencies.

Job Description

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Hong Kong, Mainland Chinese and International media
• Lead media engagement, including outreach, interviews, media enquiries, results or transaction communications, proactive thought-leadership placement and other key communications
• Develop high-quality bilingual (Chinese/English) communications materials, including press releases, talking points, interview materials and media Q&A
• Manage the Company’s corporate digital channels, including WeChat, the corporate website and others
• Monitor traditional and social media, identify emerging reputation issues and risks, support the assessment and communication response in coordination with relevant parties
• Support key corporate communications initiatives, including media events, financial forums, brand partnerships and industry awards
• Work closely with internal stakeholders on communications planning, content development and approvals, oversee external agencies and vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in media relations, corporate communications, public relations or reputation management.
• Financial services or securities experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of the Hong Kong, Mainland Chinese and international media landscape, with sound knowledge of financial markets and reputation-related issues
• Hands-on experience in media monitoring, issues management and handling sensitive or reputation-related matters
• Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English, with fluency in Cantonese, Putonghua and English
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• and Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with mainstream AI tools.
