Job summary

CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited invites an AVP, Operational Risk Management for the ICORM within Legal & Compliance. The role focuses on operational risk tools, incident handling, loss databases and aligning with HKMA frameworks.

You will lead risk reviews, oversee BCM and resiliency efforts, and perform vendor due diligence under an OR lens. Ideal candidates hold a business/finance degree, with 8–10 years in operational risk, business continuity, or third-party risk.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline required.
• Knowledge of operational risk management concepts and banking processes.
• Experience with risk tools, RCSA, incident management and loss databases.
• ECF-ORM Professional Level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute operational risk tools and systems across departments.
• Manage incidents and risk events from intake through RCA and remediation tracking.
• Maintain operational loss database accuracy, recoveries and audit trail.
• Align framework with HKMA OR-1, OR-2, TM-G-2 and SA-2 and head office standards.
• Review and maintain policies, procedures and comment on workflows from an OR perspective.
• Arrange BCM and consolidate BCP practices with resilience under OR-2.
• Perform due diligence on outsourcing and third-party arrangements from an OR view.
• Conduct operational risk stress testing and provide data for risk capital work.
• Prepare risk training, issue alerts, and communicate regulatory warnings.
• Prepare OR management reports for regulators and committees.
