Job summary

OKAY.com seeks a mid-level Software Developer to build modern web products for our Hong Kong team. You’ll own features end to end across frontend, backend, and cloud, with AI-enabled capabilities at the core of product development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, able to take a feature from requirement to production with limited supervision.
• Strong React.js experience building real applications with solid component design.
• Backend experience with C#, ASP.NET Core / .NET 8, and REST API design.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, LINQ, and Entity Framework.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services: App Service, Container Apps, Functions, or Azure SQL.
• Familiar with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Excellent communication in English.

Software Developer (Mid-Level) – Full Stack (.NET, React & AI)

OKAY.com is a leading tech-driven real estate agency in Hong Kong, specialising in luxury property. We build and run our own systems in-house - a proprietary ERP, our public website, and a growing set of data and automation tools.

We are hiring an experienced full stack developer to build modern web products and AI-enabled features. You will own features end to end, across frontend, backend, and cloud, and see what you build used by the business within weeks rather than quarters.

AI is a core part of this role, not a side project. We are actively putting AI into our products and internal workflows, and we expect you to have already done this yourself - not just read about it.

What you'll do

Design, build, test, and maintain scalable web applications across frontend and backend

Build new functions into our proprietary ERP, and analytics and automation tools on top of our data

Develop features using React.js, C#/.NET 8, and RESTful APIs

Ship AI-enabled features - integrating AI APIs into existing products, and building internal tools for content generation, summarisation, search, and workflow automation

Improve prompt quality, output reliability, and safety controls on what we ship

What we're looking for

4+ years of professional software development experience, able to take a feature from requirement to production with limited supervision

Strong React.js - comfortable building and maintaining real applications, with sound judgement on component design and state management

Solid modern frontend practices: responsive UI, reusable components, clean architecture

Backend experience with C#, ASP.NET Core / .NET 8, and REST API design

Working knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, LINQ, and Entity Framework

Comfortable with JSON, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)

Hands-on experience with Azure - App Service, Container Apps, Functions, or Azure SQL. AWS experience considered.

Good problem-solving ability and clear communication in English

AI experience - required

You have shipped something real using AI services (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) - a product feature, an internal tool, or an automation that people actually use

Practical prompt design and iteration, and a sense of when AI is the wrong tool for the job

Awareness of output reliability, hallucination handling, and data privacy when building AI features
