Job summary

A leading international corporate bank in Asia seeks a Senior Trade Services leader to oversee trade finance operations, drive transformation, and strengthen governance. You will manage risk, optimize processes, and guide a high-performing team toward strategic objectives.

In this role, you will partner with Technology, Compliance, and Front Office to deliver scalable service delivery and support growth initiatives, while maintaining a robust control environment across complex transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking or related field.
• Experience leading trade services functions in banking with strong risk controls.
• Proven track record in digital transformation and system migration.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Trade Services ensuring efficient operations with strong controls.
• Drive operational excellence by reviewing processes and implementing best practices across the team.
• Lead business transformation initiatives including system upgrades and workflow optimization.
• Partner with Technology, Operations, Front Office, Compliance, Risk and other stakeholders.
• Oversee complex trade finance transactions and act as senior escalation point.
• Govern governance, risk management and control frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage vendor and outsourced service relationships for service quality and resilience.
• Develop a high-performing team through coaching and succession planning.
• Monitor industry and regulatory developments and update policies and operating models.
• Support business growth by improving client experience and enabling new initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional projects supporting transformation and long-term objectives.
