Job summary

CPJobs International is seeking a Technical Designer in Hong Kong to bridge traditional technical design with cutting-edge 3D development. You will manage concepts through production, create tech packs, and review fit across multiple categories.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in fashion technical design, strong garment knowledge, and hands-on CLO 3D/Browzwear experience. English is required; Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus, with close work with US teams.

Qualifications

3+ years of Technical Design experience in fashion/apparel.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, pattern, measurements, grading and specifications.
Hands-on experience with 3D apparel design and visualization software such as CLO 3D, Browzwear or similar platforms.
Ability to create and interpret 3D garments, fit simulations and digital prototypes.
Strong understanding of apparel construction across denim, woven, knit or multiple categories.
Proficiency in relevant technical and design software.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.
US market and/or US brand experience is highly preferred.
Proficient in English; Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage technical development from initial concept through fit approval and production.
Create and maintain tech packs, specifications, construction details, measurement charts and grading.
Review garment fit, construction, proportions and workmanship, and provide clear, detailed comments.
Conduct fit sessions and communicate fit corrections to Design, Product Development, factories and vendors.
Partner closely with Design, Product Development, Fabric, Wash and Production teams.
Develop and review 3D garments and digital prototypes to improve fit, visualization and development efficiency.
Use 3D tools to evaluate fit, proportion, silhouette, construction and design details before physical sampling where appropriate.
Communicate 3D and technical requirements clearly with factories and development partners.
Review physical samples against approved specifications and 3D/digital standards.
Identify opportunities to reduce physical sampling and improve the overall speed, accuracy and efficiency of product development.
Manage multiple styles, categories and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Work closely with US-HQ Technical Design, Design, Product Development and Production teams to ensure alignment with market and brand requirements.
