Job summary

HKWJ Tax Law & Partners Limited in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, seeks a Senior Tax Associate to lead and set up a newly established tax team, focusing on tax compliance, filing, reporting and advisory support.

You will manage and review the work of junior staff, work with the audit team to ensure tax provisions are reflected in financial statements, and assist with tax-related audit queries. Strong tax compliance experience in an audit firm is required.

• Ability to work independently.

Senior Tax Associate

• Prepare corporate tax returns / computations withholding tax returns
• Verify assessments raised by the IRD and advise clients on payment amount and associated timeline
• Gather information for drafting reply letters to the IRD enquiries
• Work closely with colleagues in various departments to follow up on audit and tax matters
• Maintain up to date knowledge in statutory regulations by the IRD, identify and adapt quickly to changes in those regulations.
