Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is recruiting for an Information Technology role in the Information Technology Department. The job focuses on IT infrastructure management, procurement, and data centre operations, with responsibilities spanning RFQ, tendering, vendor negotiations, and contract governance.

Applicants should have a degree in IT or related field, at least 3 years in banking, and strong English and Chinese communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking field for 3 years or above, preferably exposure to data centre of banking.
• Understanding on retail banking operations with knowledge of banking environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Good command of both verbal and written English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Handle data centre IT infrastructure and hardware maintenance contract renewal works, follow up service scope requirement and approval process.
• Provide advice, guidance and due diligence in RFQ, tendering, procurement process and Procurement Committee Meeting.
• Supervise the procurement process to ensure efficiency as well as compliance with the Bank’s policies
• Evaluate procurement proposal to protect the corporate’s best interest and to comply with internal policies.
• Liaise with vendor for price negotiation, contract terms and conditions.
• Perform vendor management and evaluate performance of vendor regularly.
• Perform inventory and asset management of the data centres.
• Perform IT equipment management including maintenance, installation, planning, cablings.
• In addition to normal business hours, upon request of management to work outside business hours on normal working days, whole day of Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays.
• Perform other duties as delegated and assigned by the management

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Studies or related discipline.;
• Experience in Banking field for 3 years or above, preferably in exposure to data centre of banking;
