Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in public policy, law, political science or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience engaging with state policymakers, government officials, or regulatory agencies.
• Proven ability to develop and execute legislative, regulatory and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead state government relations strategy in Illinois and support Midwest efforts.
• Build and leverage relationships with elected officials, regulators, staff, trade associations and other stakeholders.
• Represent ExxonMobil with policymakers and coordinate advocacy through coalitions and partners.
• Monitor and influence legislative, regulatory and political developments impacting the business.
• Advise business leaders on policy trends, opportunities and risks; develop strategies to address priority issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute coordinated policy and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead advocacy campaigns, policy positions, communications and coalition-building efforts.
• Strengthen ExxonMobil's reputation and influence among external audiences in the region.
• Ensure consistent execution of advocacy strategies across priority policy initiatives.
