Job summary

OKX in Hong Kong seeks a skilled Frontend Engineer to join our asset management team. You will build and evolve user-facing experiences for deposits, withdrawals, and account workflows used by global customers, using React/TypeScript in a large-scale SSR frontend.

Collaborate across product, design, backend, QA and compliance to drive projects end-to-end, improving performance and reliability. Interest in AI-driven workflows and modern frontend tooling is a plus in this fast-moving crypto

• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript in large-scale production environments.
• Experience with SSR applications, rendering lifecycles, hydration, and internationalization.
• Hands-on testing: unit and E2E with a quality-first mindset.

• Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, and compliance across regions to move projects from concept to production.

About the team

Our team builds the core asset infrastructure behind OKX — including deposits, withdrawals, account systems, compliance, and risk management. We own the critical flows that power how users move and manage funds securely across the platform.

We’re also driving the next generation of asset management experiences on OKX, building new features and sub-products at the intersection of modern web architecture and blockchain technology. This is one of the most technically ambitious areas of crypto: high-scale systems, real-time asset movement, and deeply integrated blockchain workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve user-facing asset management experiences, including deposits, withdrawals, and account-related workflows used by global OKX customers.
• Drive projects from concept to production by collaborating with product, design, backend, QA, and compliance stakeholders across multiple regions.
• Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability within a large-scale SSR frontend architecture.
• Contribute to frontend engineering standards, reusable component systems, and scalable development practices across the team.
• Proactively identify product gaps, UX friction, and technical risks, and propose practical solutions before they impact users.
• Explore and integrate AI-assisted workflows and modern frontend tooling to improve engineering velocity and quality.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend engineering practices in large-scale production environments.
• Experience working with SSR applications and a solid understanding of rendering lifecycles, hydration, performance optimization, and internationalization.
• Hands-on experience writing automated tests, including unit and E2E coverage, with a strong quality-first mindset.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, high-ownership environments where engineers are expected to think beyond implementation details.
• Interest in blockchain, crypto products, or financial platforms, with curiosity about emerging AI-driven engineering workflows and technologies.
