Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies in Hong Kong seeks an experienced software engineer to build, maintain, and support a framework used by quantitative researchers for research, testing, and production workflows in a fast-paced environment. You will develop core framework components, work closely with researchers, translate feedback, and help with deployments, monitoring, and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience, ideally in Python and C++.
• Experience building frameworks, libraries, tooling, or production systems.
• Good knowledge of Linux, debugging, testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
• Ability to analyze performance issues and production behaviour.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with quantitative researchers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core framework components, tools, APIs, and documentation
• Work closely with quant researchers day to day, helping them use the framework effectively and solving technical issues
• Translate researcher feedback into framework improvements
• Support production environment setup, dependency management, release processes, and deployments
• Work with infrastructure and production teams to troubleshoot deployment and runtime issues
• Follow up on production usage through monitoring, debugging, performance analysis, and optimization
