Job summary

DMCG Global in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Quality Engineering (SDET) to build scalable QA platforms and automation tooling for high-throughput trading infrastructure.

You will own the automation architecture, integrate testing into CI/CD, and develop AI-assisted workflows to improve reliability and developer productivity across backend, frontend, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Join a highly technical engineering environment building next-generation trading infrastructure designed for secure, transparent and high-performance digital markets. As Senior Software Engineer, Quality Engineering (SDET), you'll shape the engineering foundations that allow teams to release quickly without compromising reliability. You'll build automation frameworks, developer tooling, CI/CD integrations and AI-assisted quality systems across backend services, frontend applications, distributed infrastructure and transaction-heavy systems. This is a software engineering role centred on creating scalable quality platforms rather than manual testing.

The Senior Software Engineer, Quality Engineering (SDET) will build and evolve the automation, testing architecture and engineering tooling that underpin reliable, high-throughput trading technology.

Role Highlights

• Design and build a scalable quality engineering platform covering unit, integration, contract, API and end-to-end testing.
• Develop reusable frameworks, libraries, fixtures and deterministic test-data strategies that improve developer productivity.
• Build AI-assisted quality workflows using LLMs for test generation, maintenance, failure analysis and regression detection.
• Create automated validation for transaction flows, matching and execution logic, routing, calculations and settlement across complex distributed systems.
• Develop performance, resilience, load and endurance testing to validate systems under high-volume and degraded operating conditions.

You Will Need

• 5+ years' experience in SDET, Quality Engineering, Test Automation or Software Engineering, with strong production-quality coding skills.
• Proven experience testing APIs and distributed systems, including REST, JSON-RPC, GraphQL, WebSocket or comparable technologies.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and working with Docker or containerised test environments.
• Strong engineering judgement, communication skills and the ability to collaborate across backend, frontend, infrastructure and product disciplines.
