Job summary

Senior / Junior Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable web applications using modern front-end frameworks

• Build and optimize robust backend services and APIs that control and interact with various hardware modules and systems

• Design and implement real-time computer vision pipelines (e.g., YOLO) to detect subsurface anomalies, structural conditions, and utility lines from sensor data

• Lead the full software development lifecycle for new features, products, and R&D initiatives, from concept to deployment

• Ensure code quality and maintainability by writing clean, well-documented, and reusable code

• Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure requirements and schedules are met

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering relevant field.

• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Exceptional adaptability and a "can-do" attitude toward shifting priorities and diverse assignments.

• Strong sense of responsibility with the willingness to go the extra mile (including occasional OT) during peak project periods or submission deadlines.

• Occasional independent travel to Mainland China as required by project needs (e.g., business negotiations with vendors, field research).

• Able to communicate effectively in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

• Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

• Strong understanding and practical experience with object detection frameworks (e.g., YOLOv8/v10, OpenCV)

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, NextJS, ElectronJS, etc. will be a plus.

• Experience in backend development using Node.js or Python will be a plus.

• Experience in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest or similar will be a plus.

• Strong understanding and practical experience with various communication protocols, both wired (e.g., CAN, Modbus over RS-485) and wireless (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, RTSP), will be a plus
