Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in asset management, investment consulting or securities with a focus on investment risk and analytics.
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics or a Mathematics based degree.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and controls in investment operations or asset management.
• Actuarial training an advantage.
• CFA or FRM an advantage.
• Strong numerical skills; statistical knowledge an advantage.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
• Native fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a robust risk management framework in line with the Risk Management Policy.
• Overseeing day-to-day functions of the Risk team.
• Advising on investment risk limits appropriate for strategies.
• Supervising pre-trade and post-trade monitoring of investment risk limits and breaches.
• Reviewing and implementing investment risk limits within OMS/PMS or externally as appropriate.
• Monitoring risk profiles and counterparty risk across funds and accounts.
• Conducting periodic and ad-hoc risk reviews including best-execution and due diligence.
• Producing risk reports for the Risk Committee and enhancing reporting quality.
• Handling short selling and regulatory risk reporting as required.
• Representing the firm professionally to clients, partners and service providers.
• Cultivating a culture of risk awareness across the firm.
