Job summary

Flow Traders in Hong Kong is seeking a Python Engineer to join the Trading Automation team. You will develop applications, services, and pipelines that automate data workflows and improve trading efficiency, collaborating with global teams and multiple departments to drive growth.

The role requires 5+ years in software development with front-office and financial markets experience, strong Python and Golang skills, and solid Unix/Linux knowledge. Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka expertise are a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other quantitative fields.
• 5+ years working experience in software development with front-office & financial markets experience preferred.
• Strong software development skills in Python, Golang.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka (knowledge of distributed systems is advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various local and global stakeholders to deliver solutions for trading and other business units.
• Deliver & own the full lifecycle for real-time software, API services and ETL pipelines.
• Seek out and identify inefficiencies and implement automation solutions.
• Work on both global and local business priorities.
