Job summary

Hang Seng Bank in Hong Kong invites a Senior Programme Manager to lead Commercial Banking projects, shape governance and drive change adoption across value streams.

You will lead a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts, collaborating with stakeholders across Hang Seng and HSBC to deliver aligned outcomes, improve processes, and establish KPIs and OKRs that measure success and value realization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in financial institutions.
• Solid background in process re-engineering methodologies and tooling.
• Ability to overcome challenges and deliver in an agile environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.
• Strong ownership and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Programme Manager

Principal responsibilities

• Act as the Programme Lead of Commercial Banking projects in Hong Kong.
• Lead a team of Project Managers / Business Analysts to provide project management and consultancy services on project/ system implementation, workflow design, and process re-engineering across different sub Value Streams of Business Banking Hong Kong Value Stream.
• Collaborate and mobilize stakeholders across Hang Seng and HSBC to deliver aligned outcomes, strong governance and effective change adoption.
• Identify opportunities to leverage shared capabilities, best practices, and reusable solutions across Hang Seng and HSBC to improve cost, speed, and control.
• Evaluate current processes from front-to-back to identify inefficiencies to drive simplification, ensuring streamlined operations and enhanced productivity.
• Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) as appropriate to measure the success of initiatives, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
• Stay current on banking technology and industry best practices to identify cross-border opportunities and deliver efficiency gains.
• Foster a highly engaged team for the delivery of initiatives that meet/ exceed business targets.

Requirements

• University graduate in related disciplines or other relevant qualifications.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in financial institutions, preferably with knowledge in commercial banking businesses and operations.
• Solid background and previous experience in process re-engineering knowledge, ideally both methodology and tooling.
• Ability to overcome challenges, create innovative solutions and work in an agile environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in both English, Cantonese. Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
