Job summary

Astellas Pharma in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Product Manager to lead the full lifecycle of ophthalmology products, strategize market approaches, and drive cross-functional collaboration. Strong communication and presentation skills, fluency in English and Chinese, and a background in Life Sciences are required, with Mandarin an advantage.

Qualifications

• University degree in Life Sciences or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of solid product management experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ophthalmology is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to enhance customer satisfaction and relationships.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Proficiency in graphic design software and video/audio editing tools is a plus.
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for Senior Product Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop promotional materials, organize scientific/educational meetings, execute marketing campaigns, and liaise with KOLs to translate product strategies into practice.
• Monitor project progress, adjust resource allocation, and track monthly budget spending to evaluate investments.
• Collaborate across the organization with sales and cross-functional product teams to achieve objectives.
• Manage the patient access process from proposal development through execution for hospital listing and workflow implementation.
• Provide training and coaching to the sales force to enhance capability to deliver key product messages.
• Experience in new product launches is an advantage.

The ideal candidate is an analytical team player who will be responsible for leading a team of high performing individuals who own the entire product lifecycle from strategy to evaluation. You will also work cross-functionally to complete product roadmaps and discover new opportunities.

• Develop realistic and consistent product marketing strategies and action plans in line with the company's vision and business strategies. Leverage market opportunities while mitigating risks to maximize market penetration and increase market share.
• Develop promotional materials, organize scientific and educational meetings, initiate and execute various marketing campaigns, and liaise with business partners and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to translate product strategies into daily practice and maximize market penetration.
• Monitor key project progress, adjust resource allocation according to changing market dynamics, and monitor monthly budget spending to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of investments in a timely manner.
