Job summary

Ambition in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Product Control professional to join its Finance team. You will oversee IPV, P&L analysis, and valuation governance across offshore products, collaborating with Front Office, Risk, and Analytics to strengthen controls.

You will apply pricing models to complex derivatives, drive process automation, and support new product launches with rigorous risk and valuation oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Control, Valuation Control, Market Risk, or related functions within banks or financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of derivatives valuation methodologies, pricing models, and P/L attribution processes.
• Hands-on experience with OTC derivatives, structured products, fixed income, FX, or equities is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Python is essential; knowledge of Java, VBA, SQL, or other languages would be advantageous.
• CFA or FRM qualifications are considered a plus; fluent English with Mandarin beneficial for regional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Product Control and Valuation Control activities for offshore financial products including OTC derivatives and structured products.
• Perform IPV, P&L reporting/analysis, position reconciliation, and market data validation for valuation accuracy.
• Establish valuation governance across the lifecycle, including model changes, parameter monitoring, and fair value controls.
• Assess financial impact of new product launches and pricing methodologies on valuation results.
• Conduct detailed P/L attribution and provide commentary on performance, risk, and revenue drivers.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Quant, Operations, and Technology to support trading activities and governance.
• Develop data analytics and automation tools to identify valuation anomalies and risk exposures.
• Drive transformation initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen governance standards.
