Job summary

Zurich in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Manager to lead pricing initiatives for Savings and Protection life insurance products, applying actuarial expertise to create competitive and sustainable solutions.

You will influence stakeholders on assumptions, cash flow modelling, ALM, investment and capital management, and drive new business pricing across sales channels.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Actuarial Science or related disciplines with over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Fellow of a recognized actuarial body (e.g. SOA, IFoA, FIAA, HKIA or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of life actuarial techniques, tools and requirements (HKRBC, IFRS 17).
• Strong passion to understand market dynamics to pricing innovation.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end pricing development for Savings and Protection focused life insurance products (e.g., Participating, Universal Life, Investment linked, Term and Critical Illness).
• Develop pricing models using actuarial assumptions (mortality, morbidity, lapse, expenses, investment returns).
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to align product solutions from risk identification to financial metrics.
• Develop pricing reports for product approvals per development process and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with product implementation teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor product profitability and sustainability on an ongoing basis.
• Comply with regulatory, audit, and internal governance requirements.

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Manager to lead product pricing initiatives that support business growth, profitability, and risk management objectives. The incumbent will make use of professional actuarial knowledge to develop product solutions that are both competitive and sustainable
• The successful candidate should also influence the key stakeholders to make sound and aligned decisions for assumptions setting, cash flow modelling, ALM, investment and capital management and driving new business
• The incumbent should process strong technical actuarial expertise with leadership capabilities to drive product projects, and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders (Local, Regional and Group level) across the organization
• This role offers significant opportunities to price various product solutions to serve the different needs of the sales channels and end customers

Job Accountabilities

• Lead end-to-end pricing development for Savings and Protection focused life insurance products (e.g., Participating, Universal Life, Investment linked, Term and Critical Illness), solid experience in launching par product(s) successfully a definite advantage
• Develop pricing models using actuarial assumptions (mortality, morbidity, lapse, expenses, investment returns). Perform sensitivity and scenario testing to assess financial impact
• Communicate effectively with collaboration among different stakeholders for an aligned product solution: from identifying the risks to reaching the consensus for the controls required from serving the business need to fulfilling the financial metrics required
• Develop the pricing report to seek product approval according to the product development process / regulatory requirements
• Work closely with other teams in product implementation to ensure timely and accurate delivery
• Conduct on-going monitoring of product profitability and sustainability
• Comply regulatory, audit, and internal governance requirements as applicable

Job Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office, VBA and actuarial software (e.g. Prophet)
• Self-driven with strong sense of commitment, able to work independently and under pressure
