Job summary

CUHK Medical Centre Limited invites applications for the role of Senior Manager, Building Management. Based in Hong Kong, you will lead a maintenance team responsible for electrical, mechanical, LV/ELV, MGPS, fire services, plumbing, lifts and related systems within a high‑standard hospital environment.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services Engineering, recognized professional status, and at least 10 years’ engineering experience including 5 years in management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• CEng, HKIE / IET / CIBSE / IMechE / IHEEM or equivalent; RPE preferred.
• At least 10 years engineering experience with MVAC, electrical, fire services, plumbing/drainage; 5+ years in management; hospital experience preferred.
• Experience in energy management and operation/maintenance of critical facilities.
• Experience in project management, tender docs, site supervision, and contract administration.
• Fluent in written/spoken English and Chinese; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead a maintenance team to resolve faults and perform preventive maintenance on E&M systems.
• Oversee outsourced maintenance contractors and manage maintenance contracts.
• Plan long-term improvements and plant replacement projects.
• Enhance reliability and energy efficiency of E&M systems.
• Formulate and improve emergency response plans.
• Design, supervise additions and improvements; manage tenders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Senior Manager, Building Management - ( ADM-26-0271 )

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the department management team in staff and operation management
• Lead and manage a maintenance team to resolve emergency fault and perform corrective and preventive maintenance works of Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) Systems, including electrical, extra low volt (ELV), mechanical ventilation & air-conditioning (MVAC), medical gas pipeline systems (MGPS), fire services systems, plumbing and drainage, lifts, escalators etc., as well as building fixtures
• Manage and supervise outsourced maintenance contractors
• Plan and implement long-term improvement and plants replacement projects
• Enhance reliability and operation efficiency of the E&M systems
• Formulate and improve emergency response plans
• Manage and improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emission
• Design and supervise addition and improvement works
• Formulate contracting strategy, prepare tenders and manage maintenance contracts
• Perform any other duties (in the capacity as Senior Manager, Building Management) as assigned by supervisor(s) from time to time

Job Requirements

• Holder of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services Engineering, or related disciplines, preferable with a Master’s degree
• CEng, Member of HKIE / IET / CIBSE / IMechE / IHEEM or equivalent, RPE preferred
• At least 10 years’ solid experience in engineering practice, including design, installation, testing/commissioning, modification, maintenance of MVAC, electrical, fire services, plumbing/drainage, of which at least 5 years at management level. Hospital experience preferred
• Solid experience in energy management and operation/repair/maintenance works, including critical facilities
• Experience in project management, preparing tender documents, site supervision and contract administration
• Independent, analytical, self-motivated, hardworking, a good team player and able to work under pressure
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficient in MS office applications

Compensation and Employment Terms
