Job description

• oversee projects, drive deliveries and fully hands‑on designing and implementing high quality technical solutions to handle latency‑sensitive trading algorithms
• design, develop and support front‑office trading applications, working closely with business users to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into innovative solutions
• apply a broad range of software engineering practices to ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions, focusing on both functional and non‑functional needs
• work closely with the global team to further develop and innovate the Quoting applications - building observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• share knowledge and technical expertise, excellent team player with experience leading or mentoring more junior colleagues, contributing regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Java, a similar position or domain
• sufficiently advanced Java expertise as well as the interest in learning new technologies and practices
• an excellent communicator with strong internal client relationship skills
• strong planning skills, well‑organized and can work well under pressure
• demonstrated the ability to work effectively and potentially juggle several tasks simultaneously
• the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges, like changes to business requirements on a daily basis
• experience working in a front office environment, and comfortable facing off to the business

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• familiarity with this business domain, and real time trading platforms experience (Warrants / Listed Options / Futures / Market Making & specifics of market links) are an advantage
• knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL, KDB, Excel/VBA and Unix programming will be a plus
• knowledge of Equity Derivatives will be a plus
• good understanding of testing and familiarity with different testing approaches. Familiarity of TDD / BDD will be a plus
• knowledge of Web development will be a plus
