Job summary

ACCA Careers in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to lead risk-based audits across commercial banking, retail networks, wealth management, and trade finance operations.

The role requires a strong technical knowledge of retail banking, credit workflows, and HKMA regulations, with fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin to engage with branch staff and produce high-quality reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (CPA, CIA or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience in banking or Big 4 in financial services.
• Solid knowledge of retail banking, commercial credit, wealth products, and HKMA frameworks.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin for fieldwork and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute risk-based audits across banking and wealth operations.
• Evaluate adequacy of internal controls, workflows, and credit-risk management.
• Ensure compliance with HKMA guidelines, local laws, and internal standards.
• Author concise audit reports for Audit Committee and senior leaders.
• Collaborate with business units to verify timely implementation of recommendations.
• Support audit methodology and integrate data analytics for continuous auditing.
