Job summary

Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd is seeking an experienced internal auditor in Hong Kong to conduct audit assignments, system reviews and investigations related to credit products and processes. You will assess risk, evaluate controls and report findings.

The role requires a degree in business or finance, at least five years of banking audit experience, and fluency in English and Chinese. A professional accounting or risk qualification is advantageous; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Business, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related disciplines.
• Holder of professional qualification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CAMS/AAMLP, CFA, FRM) will be advantageous.
• At least 5 years of internal and/or external audit experience in banking or financial services with exposure to credit function.
• Independent with analytical mind and strong risk control sense.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Effective time management on audit assignments.
• Good teamwork and collaboration, coordinates with other audit teams in the conduct of related audit assignments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audit assignments, system reviews and specific investigations related to credit function with an objective to ascertain the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management and internal controls on various banking products, systems and operations.
• Identify and assess key risk areas and propose solutions to mitigate potential risks.
• Prepare reports with audit findings and recommendations.
• Perform follow-up for proper implementation of audit recommendations.
• Undertake ad hoc tasks or special reviews when needed.
