Job summary

Prudential plc is seeking a senior IFRS-focused finance professional to lead performance management, analysing IFRS financials and providing timely reporting to Group stakeholders. The role partners with Group Finance, Actuarial reporting, and regional teams to ensure accurate disclosures and robust MI.

Strong IFRS 17 knowledge and leadership are essential. The candidate will manage quarterly and annual cycles, drive efficiency, and support BU AIB outcomes while upholding Prudential’s commitment

Qualifications

  • IFRS 17 expertise with proven implementation experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent numerical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Experience with MI and accounting systems (OneStream/Oracle/Hyperion, etc.).
  • Ability to deliver high-quality outputs on tight timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyse and interpret IFRS financial performance and its consistency with TEV and other metrics.
  • Provide timely IFRS reporting and management information to Group stakeholders.
  • Partner with business units, offering guidance and best practices.
  • Manage quarterly, half-yearly and annual processes, including external disclosures.
  • Consolidate results and prepare analysis and management reports with high accuracy.
  • Ensure senior management has relevant and accurate financial information.
  • Proactively improve IFRS processes and workflows for efficiency.
  • Assist in investigations to optimise financial outcomes and consistency.
  • Support assessment of BU AIB outcomes.

Supporting The Director, IFRS Performance Management, Responsible For
  • Reviewing, analysing and interpreting business units’ IFRS financial performance, and its consistency with TEV and other reporting metrics.
  • Providing timely and insightful IFRS financial reporting and management information to Group stakeholders.
  • Business partner, providing business and accounting guidance, and sharing best practice.
Job Requirements
  • Proactively review and analyse IFRS submissions, and clearly articulate key performance and technical issues.
  • Work closely with the Group Finance and Actuarial reporting team, the regional performance management teams, and local business units on identified issues, and collaborate on appropriate resolutions.
  • Manage quarterly, half-yearly, and annual processes and deliverables relating to IFRS actual reporting, the 3-year Plan, and quarterly forecasts, including external disclosures.
  • Consolidate the results and prepare analysis and management reports with high accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure relevant and accurate financial & management information are made available to senior management.
  • Proactively review and improve IFRS processes and workflows to deliver increased operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in investigations to optimise financial outcomes and enhance consistency in application across the Group.
  • Support the assessment of BUs’ AIB outcomes.
Job Qualifications
  • University degree
  • Professional actuarial/accounting qualification
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in finance/accounting/actuarial roles
  • Solid IFRS 17 knowledge and experience
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills, with good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly responsible, strong time and task management skills to ensure on-time high quality delivery
  • Excellent numerical, written, and verbal communications skills
  • Proactive in learning and development, proactive to improve efficiency and existing operational processes
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experiences in common accounting and MI systems, e.g. OneStream, Oracle, Hyperion, SAS, Anaplan etc.
  • Excellent written and spoken English
