Job summary

Nanyang Commercial Bank, Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced FX and precious metals dealer to drive profitability within risk appetite. You will interpret market dynamics, provide pricing to frontline units, and manage margin systems.

The role requires 5+ years in relevant markets, onshore experience is a plus, and strong English/Chinese communication. Occasional mid/night shifts and mentoring duties are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in precious metals.
• Prior onshore experience/experience with handling onshore related business is a big plus.
• Extensive understanding of the financial markets and various financial instruments.
• ECF qualification is preferable.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications and treasury systems like Reuters, Bloomberg, Calypso.
• Excellent English and Chinese (Mandarin) communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead foreign exchange and precious metals dealing for profitability within risk limits.
• Interpret market dynamics and provide pricing to frontline units as needed.
• Manage the FX & precious metals margin system.
• Develop connections with onshore markets to capture opportunities.
• Provide market information and strategic analysis to management.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in ad-hoc assignments.
