Job summary

Combuilder Pte Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across the full development lifecycle, from requirements to production support.

You will build frontend components with React.js, develop backend services in Python using FastAPI/Flask/Django, design APIs, ensure security, and collaborate in an Agile team to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related studies
• At least 7–10 years of software development experience with strong hands-on experience in React.js and Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask and Django
• Demonstrated ability to independently design and implement technical solutions in a fast pace Agile environment
• Experience in automated testing using PyTest, Jest or equivalent
• Excellent understanding of application security, IAM, and data privacy
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, developing, integrating and maintaining scalable and highly secured web applications across the full development lifecycle from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment and production support
• Build reusable, maintainable and well-tested frontend components using React.js
• Develop backend services, REST APIs and microservices using the "big three" open-source Python web frameworks
• Design and integrate APIs between frontend, backend and external systems
• Develop using relational and NoSQL databases and optimize application database performance
• Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring and error handling
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards
