Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Event Manager/Director to lead our events division. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic event plans, driving revenue growth, and establishing innovative business models to attract new clients and revenue streams. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional management skills, a proven track record in meeting sales targets, and the ability to cultivate new business opportunities within the luxury hospitality or private club sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive event strategies aligned with the organization's overarching business goals and brand positioning.
• Prepare detailed event proposals and sales schedules, offering diverse packages to maximize revenue.
• Oversee the full P&L management for the events portfolio, including budgeting, cost control, and profit maximization.
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to scale existing events, introduce new formats, and expand market reach.
• Conceptualize and develop innovative business models aimed at attracting new clients and diversifying revenue streams.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets through proactive sales initiatives and client engagement.
• Drive new business development efforts by creating strategic plans to acquire new clients and explore new market channels.
• Lead all aspects of event management, including concept development, programming, venue selection, vendor coordination, logistics, and post-event analysis.
• Serve as the primary contact for live event issues, crisis management, and operational problem-solving.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing events team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of emerging trends in luxury hospitality, event management, and client preferences, integrating them into service offerings.
• Set and adjust pricing strategies for private hires and ticketed events to ensure optimal margins.
• Promote club facilities for private functions and corporate events to maximize utilization.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, licensing, health, and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Marketing, or a related discipline; relevant advanced qualifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in event management, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership or director capacity, preferably within luxury hotels, private clubs, or high-end catering.
• Proven success in meeting sales targets and developing innovative business models to generate new revenue streams.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin; additional languages are advantageous.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgets, and negotiations.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing and developing diverse teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences and customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems, and MS Office Suite.
