Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead research and development initiatives leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of materials science, with a particular focus on chemical engineering. This role will provide expert technical consultation on chemicals — including thermal conductive materials, adhesives, and cleaning agents — to various Business Units (BUs). The successful candidate will drive the development of new material technologies for motor applications, collaborating closely with BUs on material selection, cost optimization, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI-Driven R&D in Materials Science – Lead and conduct research and development using Artificial Intelligence and machine learning to accelerate discovery in materials science, particularly in chemical engineering. Design and implement AI models to predict material properties, optimize formulations, and simulate chemical reactions
• Technical Chemical Consultation – Provide expert technical consultation to other Business Units (BUs) on chemicals including thermal conductive materials, adhesives, cleaning agents, sealants, coatings, and specialty chemicals. Recommend alternative materials for cost reduction and performance improvement
• New Material Technology Development for Motor Applications – Drive development of advanced material technologies for motor applications, including insulation materials, magnet materials, conductive materials, and thermal management solutions. Work closely with BUs on material selection, validation, and qualification
• Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation – Handle failure analysis on chemical-related complaints and field returns. Conduct systematic root cause analysis using techniques such as SEM/EDX, FTIR, TGA, DSC, and other analytical methods. Propose and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Regulatory Compliance & Safety – Ensure all material development and testing activities comply with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS, WEEE, TSCA). Champion health, safety, and environmental (HSE) best practices within the lab and pilot plant. Maintain proper documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Technology Scouting & Innovation – Continuously monitor emerging trends in materials science, AI applications, and chemical engineering. Attend industry conferences, review scientific literature, and propose new technology roadmaps to maintain the company's competitive edge.
