Job summary

Recruit is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to plan, coordinate and supervise roadworks in Ma On Shan. You will manage excavation, pavement construction, drainage and related interfaces, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs and safety requirements.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of civil experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and Chartered status; Senior Engineer candidates may be considered. The role offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of civil experience.
• A Civil Engineering degree is required.
• Chartered status will be given priority.
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise roadworks, including excavation, pavement, reinstatement, footpaths, kerbs, drainage and utility interfaces.
• Prepare and coordinate TTA proposals, drawings, submissions and implementation plans to suit construction sequencing and site conditions.
• Manage XP applications and follow-up actions through the Excavation Permit Management System (XPMS), including permit extensions, advance notifications and completion submissions.
• Liaise with the consultant, Highways Department, Transport Department, Hong Kong Police Force, utility undertakings and relevant stakeholders on traffic arrangements, permit matters and construction interfaces.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to implement approved traffic arrangements and execute works safely and efficiently.
• Prepare method statements, works programmes, technical submissions, inspection requests and progress reports.
• Monitor site progress, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, permit conditions and safety requirements.
• Identify and resolve site constraints, utility conflicts and construction interface issues.
