Job summary

A renowned Lift & Elevator Manufacturer is seeking a Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - Inspection, T&C in Hong Kong. You will plan, coordinate and supervise inspection, testing and commissioning activities for lifts, including functional tests, safety tests, performance tests and integrated system tests.

Requires a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and at least eight years of relevant elevator experience, with strong exposure to testing, commissioning and inspection.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant elevator experience including testing, commissioning and inspection.
• Solid understanding of elevator systems, safety components and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise inspection, testing & commissioning activities for lifts and elevators, including tests.
• Conduct inspections of elevator installations to verify compliance with drawings, specs and standards.
• Prepare and review T&C procedures, inspection checklists, method statements and risk assessments.
• Witness, record and certify test results and follow up on non-conformances until closure.
• Maintain documentation such as test reports, inspection records and handover packages.
• Support final acceptance inspections and handover to client/facilities management.

The Job

• Client: A renowned Lift & Elevator Manufacturer

• Position: Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - Inspection, T&C

• Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise Inspection, Testing & Commissioning activities for lift & elevators, including functional tests, safety tests, performance tests and integrated system tests.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of elevator installations, components and associated works to verify compliance with design drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

  • Prepare and review T&C procedures, inspection checklists, method statements and risk assessments.

  • Witness, record and certify test results; identify non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions until closure.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including test reports, inspection records, as-built information and handover packages.

  • Support final acceptance inspections and facilitate smooth handover to the client / facilities management team.

• $50-65K. 5-day. Bonus. Medical

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in elevator / lift engineering, with strong exposure to testing & commissioning and inspection of elevators.

• Solid understanding of elevator systems, safety components, control systems and relevant international / local standards.

• Proven experience in preparing and executing T&C procedures and managing non-conformance processes.

• Strong knowledge of site safety practices and risk assessment.

• Excellent coordination, communication and report-writing skills.

• Good command of languages
