Job summary

ConnectedGroup Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Director for its Education philanthropic foundation. The role leads social impact programs across Hong Kong and China, overseeing grants, compliance, and strategic resourcing in a highly regulated environment.

You will manage a large team, build senior external relationships with government departments, partners, and academic institutions, and raise the foundation's profile through speaking engagements and events.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in stakeholder management
• Experience managing complex projects in large, highly regulated organisations
• Proven people management and leadership capabilities
• Deep experience in the education sector with exposure to curricular development
• Exceptional spoken and written English and Cantonese; Mandarin an advantage

• Managing a portfolio of social impact programs within the education sector across Hong Kong and China

Senior Director - Philanthropic Foundation - Education

A major player in the philanthropic ecosystem is seeking a key leadership role to support its ongoing growth and succession planning.

This position is open to candidates from outside of the charitable sector but will require:

- Complex stakeholder management capabilities
- Exceptional project management and convening skills
- Experience of working within the education sector

- Fluency in English and Cantonese with Mandarin an advantage

Requirements

• You will likely have 15 years of experience or more in order to have developed the necessary maturity in stakeholder management
• You will have managed complex projects in large organisations with more weight given to those that are publicly accountable and/or heavily regulated
• You will already be a capable people manager and leader
• Deep experience within the education sector with exposure to academic development programs and, ideally, curricular development skills
• Exceptional spoken and written communication skills in English and Cantonese, with Mandarin an advantage
