Job summary

Cover Genius is seeking a Senior Director, Partnerships — China Platforms to lead the export team and scale partnerships across Greater China. You will own the commercial strategy, hire a cross-functional team, and navigate regulatory environments to expand into the US, EU, LATAM and SEA.

You will build deep relationships with Chinese platforms, drive multi-market launches, and represent Cover Genius in the export ecosystem with Mandarin fluency and strategic acumen.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in partnerships, business development, or commercial leadership in insurance, insurtech, fintech, SaaS, or embedded technology.
• Experience across Greater China with Chinese platforms supporting export and international ops.
• Proven track record closing large enterprise partnership deals with revenue targets.
• Fluent Mandarin and English at senior levels.
• Strong network in the Chinese export platform ecosystem: Travel OTAs, eCommerce, fintech, mobility.
• Experience building and managing small high-performance teams in start-up/scale-up.
• Familiarity with cross-border insurance distribution regulations.
• Experience leading multi-stakeholder deal processes with legal, compliance, product, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial strategy for Chinese platforms and international expansion.
• Identify, qualify, and close complex partnership deals with high-priority accounts.
• Drive multi-market expansion and new product launches with Tier 1 partners.
• Articulate Cover Genius value proposition at executive level.
• Navigate regulatory and compliance requirements in this market.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, Compliance, Client Solutions Eng, and Insurance Partnerships.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Represent Cover Genius at industry events and in the Chinese export ecosystem.
• Report to executives on team performance, pipeline health, and risks.
