Job summary

Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. Hong Kong Branch is seeking an experienced Data Governance professional to lead the design, deployment and continuous improvement of data governance frameworks, policies and standards across the organization.

You will oversee data quality, metadata, lineage and key data management, monitor quality metrics, and coordinate cross- department governance initiatives to ensure compliance and effective regulatory reporting in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent HKQF level 5.
• Minimum 5 years' solid experience in data governance, data management or related roles in banking/financial services.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK) and data quality, metadata, lineage and classification.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse/data lake architectures and data modeling; standardization experience.
• Proficient in SQL; Python or scripting knowledge for data profiling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and maintain data governance frameworks, policies and standards across the organization.
• Oversee data quality management, metadata management, key data management and data lineage tracking; monitor quality metrics and remediation.
• Plan and develop data governance platforms and tooling; coordinate cross-department implementation and promote standardization and compliance.
• Conduct data governance assessment and maturity analysis.
