Job summary

Sanderson-Ikas seeks an experienced Senior Data Analytics Manager to lead the data transformation agenda within a technology-driven financial services environment on Hong Kong Island.

You will oversee large-scale data platforms, governance initiatives, and cross-functional delivery, combining Agile and traditional project methods to drive enterprise data capabilities and risk management improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in data platforms, analytics, technology project delivery, or IT development, preferably in financial services or related industries.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex technology programmes.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and project governance practices.
• Hands-on knowledge of data architecture, data modelling, analytics platforms, and visualization technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, security controls, and lineage solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive the successful delivery of large-scale data and analytics programmes from planning through implementation and production rollout.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, evaluate, and prioritize requirements aligned with strategic objectives and risk management considerations.
• Lead project governance activities, including timeline management, budgeting, resource planning, issue resolution, and risk tracking.
• Enhance enterprise data capabilities across governance, metadata management, lineage, quality monitoring, access management, and analytics.
• Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to ensure scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and implementation partners throughout project lifecycles.
• Promote adoption of cloud-native and open-source technologies to strengthen data management capabilities.
• Apply both Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies to support complex initiatives.
• Support the evolution of enterprise data platforms and data management practices.
