Job summary

Swire Properties Limited 太古地產有限公司 is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to deliver actionable insights from our consolidated customer database, enabling data-led business strategies and informed action plans.

Reporting to the Data Science & Analytics Lead, you will develop data mining approaches and analytic models, collaborate with stakeholders, and translate findings into clear BI dashboards and recommendations across the business.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science or related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in data analytics or data science.
• Strong SQL for complex data extraction; Python (and PySpark) for analysis.
• Experience in BI dashboards design and implementation (Power BI).
• Azure Databricks experience is an advantage.
• Retail or property industry experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to derive insights.
• Good visualization sense to present insights to stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver data analytic reports with insights to business stakeholders (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive).
• Translate data insights into reports and visualizations using BI dashboards, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Support measurement metrics design for business units to track effectiveness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data processors and data engineers to build analytic solutions.
• Guide vendors in delivering data analytic reports, dashboard building and model training.
• Lead data analytics projects independently (e.g., Data Standard Enhancement, GenAI projects).
• Assist in designing customer segmentation attributes and tags.
• Align logic for existing BI dashboards (Power BI).

We are now looking for a talented Senior Data Analyst to be part of our dynamic team. Reporting to the Data Science & Analytics Lead, the incumbent will be responsible for delivering actionable insights by conducting analytics with the consolidated customer database to facilitate data-led business strategies and action plan formulation. He/she will need to take a data mining approach and develop data analytical models to gain deep understanding of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver data analytic reports with data insights to business stakeholders, covering descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analysis
• Translate data insights into meaningful reports and visualisations using BI dashboards, Excel and PowerPoint, as appropriate for different business stakeholders
• Support the Data Science & Analytics Lead and/or Assistant Data Analytics Lead to design measurement metrics for different business units to facilitate their effectiveness & efficiency measurement
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, and/or data processors and data engineers to design & build the analytic solutions that generate useful business insights
• Facilitate Data Science & Analytics Lead and/or Assistant Data Analytics Lead to manage vendors on delivering their work, including data analytic report, dashboard building & model training
• Drive data analytical projects independently and report to Data Science & Analytics Lead and/or Assistant Data Analytics Lead (e.g. Data Standard Enhancement, New Technology Adoption - GenAI projects, etc)
• Support the design of customer segmentation attributes & customer tags
• Support the design & calculation logic alignment of existing BI dashboards (Power BI)

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Business Administration or related discipline
• At least 4-years of working experience with focus on data analytics or data science
• Strong command of SQL for complex data extraction and Python (and PySpark) for data analysis
• Experience in BI dashboard (PowerBI) design and implementation projects
• Experience in Azure Databricks is an advantage
• Experience in retail or property industry will be an advantage
• Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to draw data insights from extracted data independently
• Good visualization sense to present the data insights to business stakeholders clearly
• Fast learner to catch up new business domain knowledge for the analysis in different business domains
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact and build a rapport with team members across the business
• Strong time management skills with an ability to handle and prioritize multiple requests
