Job summary

OKX is seeking a cryptography researcher to design and implement post-quantum cryptography for wallet and Web3 security products. You will contribute to the cryptography library, conduct research on lattice-based and hash-based PQC, and help document technology choices.

You will also audit cryptographic code, help set standards, and explore zero-knowledge techniques. English fluency and strong programming skills in C/C++, Rust, Go, or Java are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in Cryptography, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong theoretical foundation in cryptography: public-key & symmetric/asymmetric crypto, lattice theory, security protocol design, and blockchain crypto applications.
• In-depth research in post-quantum cryptography; familiar with lattice-based crypto and hash-based signatures; knowledge of NIST PQC algorithms.
• In-depth research in secure multi-party computation (MPC); familiar with threshold signatures and secret sharing.
• Background in zero-knowledge proofs (zk-SNARK/zk-STARK) or related cryptographic theory.
• Proficient in at least one of: C/C++, Rust, Go, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Design, assess migration paths for, and implement post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms within existing signature and key management systems; track latest PQC standards.
• Design and develop the underlying cryptography library for MPC wallet / Web3 security products.
• Research Web3-ecosystem cryptography technologies and produce technology selection reports and related technical documentation.
• Conduct security audits of wallet-layer signature code and cryptographic protocol implementations.
• Participate in defining the team's cryptography technical standards and enforce security lines for cryptography-related code.
