Job summary

Bangkok Bank Public Co Ltd, Hong Kong Branch, seeks a senior credit risk professional to review and structure credit proposals for corporate clients. You will perform in-depth analyses, CRR/FRR reviews, and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in finance or related fields and at least 8 years’ corporate banking experience, with strong English and Chinese communication skills. CFA/FRM/ HKIB qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration or related fields.
• Minimum 8 years of solid credit risk or credit underwriting experience within Corporate/Commercial Banking.
• Qualified professional certifications (HKIB, CFA, FRM, ECF-CRM) are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and handle complex cases.
• Experience in trade products / derivatives preferred.
• Excellent English and Chinese communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate and structure credit applications submitted by business units.
• Conduct independent analysis, gather data, resolve queries and present proposals.
• Verify accuracy of financial spreading in internal metrics.
• Perform CRR and review FRR submitted by front-office teams.
• Ensure proposals comply with credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor news and covenant compliance, escalate breaches promptly.
• Due diligence on local buyers, suppliers and beneficiaries of credit.
• Attend customer visits to assess operational and credit risks.
• Prepare departmental reports including collateral analysis and risk reports.
• Support Department Manager with specialized credit reviews and ad-hoc tasks.
