FTI Consulting (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a qualified Senior Consultant or Consultant to join the risk investigation advisory team. You will execute investigations, perform sophisticated accounting and financial analyses, and prepare short client reports under supervision.

You will work with senior staff on complex matters, develop knowledge of the legal process in litigation, fraud and compliance issues, and contribute to business development while supporting Mandarin-English communications.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines.
• Hong Kong or internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.
• 4–6 years of relevant professional accounting experience, preferably in forensic investigations, disputes or valuation.
• Fluent English; Mandarin preferred; strong report writing and analytical skills.

About The Role

We provide multidisciplinary investigative, data analysis, forensic accounting, governance & regulatory, corporate intelligence and construction solutions to the global business, legal and government community. As an independent consulting firm, we have unmatched capabilities and extensive experience supporting clients facing investigations, disputes and regulatory scrutiny, as well as providing insights and intelligence that help shape strategies. Our risk investigation advisory practice undertakes a wide range of engagements, including complex fraud investigations; FCPA and financial investigations; business valuation, commercial disputes, litigation support and expert witness engagements. The team is seeking a qualified Senior Consultant or Consultant to join the team. As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you will execute and complete client engagements, with responsibility for day‑to‑day activities. You will undertake investigations and complex accounting and financial analysis, prepare short reports. You will work directly with senior members of the team, and receive internal training, on‑the‑job coaching and mentoring. You will need to develop a strong knowledge of the legal process, especially with regard to litigation, fraud and compliance issues.

What You’ll Do

• Reconstruct complex accounting records from incomplete information.
• Analyse and interpret large volumes of accounting records.
• Assess the reliability of accounting evidence.
• Conduct desktop public record research and fact verification in English and Chinese.
• Perform investigative (subject matter expert) review of electronic data, including the use of AI‑tools and machine learning on document review platforms.
• Lead simple reviews from development of key word search terms, other data filters and review workflows through to client reporting.
• Perform fact‑finding and investigative interviews and participate in client meetings.
• Document key business processes and identify internal control gaps.
• Review financial statements for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Undertake company and industry analysis.
• Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis and financial and discounted cash flow modelling.
• Prepare draft expert reports and client reports and presentations, detailing project scope, methodology and findings.
• Develop project planning and management skills.
• Supervise the work of junior staff and provide coaching to junior team members.
• Interact with clients, including lawyers, in house counsel and senior accounting personnel.
• Undertake networking and marketing activities to develop professional contacts.
• Assist senior team members with new business development activities.
• Contribute to company initiatives and team development activities.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines.
• Hong Kong or internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.
• 4–6 years of relevant professional accounting experience, preferably including experience in forensic investigations, accounting disputes, litigation support, expert witness services, and/or business valuation.
