Captar Partners Ltd. is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to own the Hong Kong and Taiwan compliance programme. The role is hands-on and in-house, focusing on prevention by building effective controls.

You will lead day-to-day compliance work, audits, whistleblowing investigations and regional cross-border projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business, working with Legal, HR, Finance and Internal Audit to support risk- based decisions and practical compliance solutions.

Formación

• Degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management or related field; professional certificates are a strong plus.
• 8+ years in compliance, legal, audit or investigations in multinational or Big 4 environments.
• Proven experience running corporate investigations and whistleblowing cases; risk management systems.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese; able to influence senior leaders.
• Willingness to travel frequently between Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Responsabilidades

• Own the compliance framework for Hong Kong and Taiwan; ensure policies and controls fit markets.
• Run integrity processes: conflict of interest declarations, gifts & hospitality, sponsorship reviews.
• Conduct risk-based reviews and site checks; lead fixes for gaps found.
• Handle whistleblowing cases end-to-end; plan investigations and report findings.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Finance and Internal Audit on outcomes.
• Advise business leaders on day-to-day compliance with a practical view.
• Design or revamp the training programme; keep staff up-to-date on compliance knowledge.
• Contribute to regional projects with Asia compliance team; share best practices.

About the Client & Role

Our client is a multinational firm with strong presence over the globe, with a large and growing operation across Greater China. They are hiring a Senior Compliance Manager to own and run the compliance programme for Hong Kong and Taiwan. This is a hands-on, in-house role focusing on prevention: building controls that work in practice, not just on paper.

You will be the main compliance lead for the markets and run day-to-day compliance work, carry out audits and spot checks when necessary, and lead investigations into whistleblowing cases. You will also be a trusted advisor to the business. The role suits someone with a practical, commercial mindset who can manage risk properly while supporting how the business operates. You will also contribute to regional and cross-border compliance projects when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the compliance framework for HK and Taiwan, making sure policies and controls work well and fit each market's regulations
• Run key integrity processes, including conflict of interest declarations, gifts and hospitality approvals, and sponsorship reviews
• Carry out risk-based reviews and site checks across operations to find gaps and lead the fixes
• Handle whistleblowing cases from start to finish - plan the investigation, interview the people involved, gather evidence and report findings
• Work closely with Legal, HR, Finance and Internal Audit on outcomes and findings
• Advise business leaders on day-to-day compliance questions and support decisions with a practical, commercial view
• Design/ revamp the existing compliance training programme and ensure the staff are equipped with up-to-date compliance knowledge
• Contribute to regional projects with the Asia compliance team and share best practice across markets

Skills and Requirements

• Degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management or a related field. CPA, LLB/LLM, CCEP, CFE or ACAMS is a strong plus
• 8+ years in compliance, legal, audit or investigations at a multinational, Big 4 / accounting firm or law firm, with solid in-house experience preferred
• Proven experience running corporate investigations, handling whistleblowing cases and putting risk management systems in place
• Practical, commercial approach to compliance in a matrixed multinational
• Confident communicator who can present to and influence senior leaders and work well across cultures
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a must
• Willing to travel often between Hong Kong and Taiwan
