Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Clerk of Works to supervise construction activities in Hong Kong. The role requires oversight of on-site and off-site works in line with Client requirements, SAH, and applicable standards.

You will manage document checks, sampling, and daily site records, ensuring compliance and timely reporting. The candidate should have a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building or Building Studies and at least 3 years of post-qualification

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building or Building Studies from a Hong Kong institution.
• Language proficiency: Level 2 or above in Chinese and English in HKDSEE/HKCEE or equivalent.
• 3+ years relevant post-qualification experience including at least 1 year as Assistant Clerk of Works.
• Candidate with more experience will be considered for Senior Clerk of Works.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction works as directed by the Supervisor or delegates.
• Manage on-site and off-site activities per Client requirements and SAH guidelines.
• Maintain and update site records including site record books and monthly returns.
• Check samples and documents against contract requirements and provide feedback to project team.
• Attend project and contractor progress meetings and report progress.
• Liaise with government departments and public utilities for on-site work as required.
