Job summary

Tek Systems in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Business Analyst to drive a large-scale Compensation System Revamp. You will bridge business and technology, gathering requirements for compensation and commission initiatives across front-end and back-end systems.

You’ll partner with Agency, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams, run workshops, map processes, and prepare BRDs and user stories. Fluency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin is required; agile or hybrid delivery experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of BA experience in Insurance or Banking.
• Experience gathering requirements, stakeholder management, and business process analysis.
• Experience with front-end and back-end systems (50/50).
• Proficient in SQL and data migration / integration tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for compensation and commission-related initiatives.

Our client, a leading insurance organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a strategic Compensation System Revamp initiative. This role will support the transformation of compensation and commission management processes while partnering closely with agency business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a BA who enjoys working across both business and technology functions, with exposure to both customer-facing (front-end) and operational/system (back-end) components.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• 4+ years of Business Analyst experience within Insurance or Banking environments.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and business process analysis.
• Experience supporting both front-end and back-end systems (approximately 50% business-facing / 50% operational or system-focused initiatives).
• Experience with database tools for migration and integrations such as SQL and Alteryx.
• Exposure to compensation, commission, agency, distribution, finance, or policy administration systems is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to liaise effectively with both business users and technical teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be fluent in both written and verbal Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
• Experience working in Agile, or hybrid project environments.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, testing activities, and project documentation.

Preferred Background

• Insurance agency distribution or compensation domain knowledge.
• Experience with large-scale system enhancement, transformation, or revamp projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical solutions.
