Job summary

Cathaybk is seeking an experienced auditor to join our internal audit team in Hong Kong. The role focuses on regular self-assessment and compliance testing across functions, supporting improvements to internal control environments.

Strong regulatory knowledge and English/Cantonese communication are essential. The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting/finance, at least 3 years in bank audit or related fields, and related certifications.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in accounting and finance or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years solid auditing experience in bank audit, compliance assurance or quality assurance work.
• ECF-Compliance / ECF-Operational Risk Management certification an advantage.
• Knowledge in Banking Ordinance, HKMA, SFC regulations and guidelines.
• Independent, self-motivated and able to liaise with different functions.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, organized and attentive to details.
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular self-assessment and compliance testing on different functions, prepare assessment and testing reports for management review.
• Support Team Head to make recommendations to improve internal control environments.
• Work closely with Head Office Internal Audit in Branch’s self-assessment work.
• Support other ad-hoc task and project of the Team.
