Job summary

Grant Thornton Hong Kong Limited is seeking Senior Associates / Associates to join the SME Audit practice. You will perform field work as Field-in-charge for diverse clients, including SMEs, and assist the team manager in juggling multiple assignments.

You will mentor junior staff and lead audit teams when required. The role requires accounting education and professional body status, with 1–2 years of sizable firm experience and strong communication skills in English, Chinese, and Putonghua.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in accounting and professional body qualification or finalist status.
• Minimum 1/2 years audit experience at sizable CPA firms; fresh graduates with internship accepted.
• Strong communication, inter-personal and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead audit teams, mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete field work as Field-in-charge for audit assignments across various client types.
• Assist team manager in monitoring multiple assignments at a time.
• Lead audit teams and mentor junior staff.
• Communicate effectively with clients in English, Chinese and Putonghua.
• Occasional travel for business needs.

Senior Associates / Associates – SME Audit

Responsible for completing field work at Field-in-charge role for audit assignments of various client nature including MNCs and Small to Medium sized entities;and assist team manager in monitoring multiple assignments at a time.

Requirements:

Tertiary education in accounting and qualified member/semi-finalist of a recognized professional accounting body

Minimum 1 / 2 years professional audit experience at sizable CPA firms (Entry level positions are open for fresh graduates with intern/part-time experience)

A team player with good communication, inter-personal and analytical skills

Able to handle clients and communicate effectively in English, Chinese and Putonghua

Able to lead an audit team, mentor and provide on-the-job training to junior staff

PRC jobs exposure and listed-co audit experience are of definite advantage

Proficient in Microsoft applications

Occasional travel on business needs
