Job summary

Elliott Scott HR Recruitment is assisting a leading Asian financial institution in Hong Kong to hire an experienced ARM for its private banking division. The role involves supporting Relationship Managers, onboarding clients, conducting KYC, and overseeing trade execution while coaching junior ARMs in a fast-paced transformation environment.

The ideal candidate holds HKSI/IIQE licences, a finance degree, 8+ years’ experience, and fluency in English, Chinese, and Putonghua.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Banking or related disciplines.
• 8+ years' experience in finance and customer relationship management.
• HKSI and IIQE licenses preferred with competency for regulated activities.
• Strong customer orientation and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Putonghua fluency is required.

Responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers in building and maintaining client relationships and delivering services.
• Assist in portfolio monitoring to enable rebalancing and trade orders.
• Primary contact for RM inquiries and administrative support.
• Assist onboarding, perform KYC/CDD, and process account openings.
• Take and execute trades with required licences.
• Coach junior ARMs and support team development.
• Escalate complex client servicing issues and process exceptions.
• Drive transformation initiatives, TOM redesigns, and system changes.
• Collaborate on training design with the Team Lead and coverage planning.
• Support workflow allocation and advisor team coverage.
• Participate in client meetings, providing documentation and follow-up actions.
• Provide leadership in ad-hoc projects aligned with business objectives.
