Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an Applications Developer with strong cloud and DevOps experience to lead IT projects in a banking environment. You will design, develop and support application systems, collaborating with users and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery and robust risk management.

You will manage project documentation, estimation, testing and change control while coordinating across internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of application development with 2+ years in project management; blockchain/digital currency is a plus.
• 3+ years in cloud development/architecture or DevOps.
• Hands-on with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud or private cloud.
• Experience in cloud-native development and microservices.
• Track record in large banking projects is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Linux, Java, Node.js, and databases (NoSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Familiar with WebSphere, Jenkins, Docker, Spring, GitLab, Maven; strong problem solving.
• Strong English and Mandarin skills; ability to lead and work remotely is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and implement IT projects to ensure timely, quality deliverables.
• Responsible for system design, development and support of the application systems.
• Manage project processes, documentation, progress reporting, meetings and escalation.
• Work with users and vendors for requirement analysis, effort estimation, design, development, testing.
• Identify dependencies and risks; mitigate issues across projects.
• Manage change control across project life cycle.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with developers to resolve technical problems.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties for system integration design.
