Job summary

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) in Hong Kong invites applicants for a surveying and property management role. You will conduct freezing surveys, file records, and assist with project engagement with affected owners, tenants and occupiers as part of urban renewal work.

Requirements include a degree in surveying, building, housing or property management, at least 3 years’ relevant experience, strong bilingual Chinese/English communication, integrity, and knowledge of property sale procedures.

Qualifications

• Degree in surveying, building, housing or property management related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in surveying, housing management or related fields.
• Strong bilingual communication in Chinese and English, Putonghua preferred.
• High integrity and initiative.
• Knowledge of legal formalities in sale/purchase of property is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct freezing surveys and file relevant records.
• Implement project engagement with affected owners, tenants and occupiers.
• Carry out site inspection and area measurement of properties.
• Screen interviews with affected owners, tenants and occupiers.
• Assess eligibility for compensation, allowances and rehousing.
• Negotiate settlements and manage tenancy/rental administration.
