Job summary

Michael Page seeks a senior accountant to manage the full accounting cycle for its Hong Kong entity. You will handle bookkeeping, month-end close, and tax filings while ensuring compliance with HKFRS. You will coordinate with auditors and banks, and prepare group reporting for headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in corporate tax or full-set accounting.
• Understanding of Hong Kong accounting standards and financial reporting practices.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong taxation, compliance, audit procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy.
• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently.
• Available for occasional travel to Mainland China.
• English and Chinese fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounting functions for the Hong Kong entity, including bookkeeping, journal entries, voucher processing, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Ensure all records comply with Hong Kong Financial Reporting and Accounting Standards.
• Handle Hong Kong tax compliance and filings (Profits Tax, Salaries Tax, Stamp Duty, etc.).
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks and regulators for annual audits and reviews.
• Prepare timely financial statements, management reports and group reporting for headquarters.
• Maintain organized financial, tax, and audit records for compliance and reviews.
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders and support cross-border finance projects, with occasional travel to China.
