Michael Page is recruiting for a Securities Finance Operations Officer in Hong Kong. The role involves handling daily trade booking, securities borrows and returns, settlement and reconciliation, with 3–5 years in market operations and strong Python, SQL, Power BI and Macro VBA exposure.

Successful candidate will maintain regulatory compliance, coordinate with internal and external teams, and support audits while ensuring accurate record-keeping and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science or related disciplines.
• 3–5 years of working experience in market operations, Python, SQL, Power BI and Macro VBA.
• Strong attention to detail, technical skills with clear and logical manner.
• Work collaboratively with team members.
• Strong quick learning ability to understand policies, procedures, systems, processes and controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily securities finance operations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Reconciling trade discrepancies and resolving settlement issues effectively.
• Monitoring operational workflows to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinating with internal teams and external counterparts to address operational queries.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions.
• Identifying process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Supporting audit and compliance checks as required.
• Providing ad hoc operational support to meet business needs.
