Job summary

Singapore International is seeking an experienced History teacher to join our Secondary School from August 2027. You will deliver engaging History lessons for secondary students and support a positive, inclusive classroom environment that helps every learner thrive.

You will contribute to character and values education and participate in school life beyond the classroom. The ideal candidate holds an undergraduate Honours Degree in History with a recognised teaching qualification (BEd or PGDE)

Secondary Teacher – History (starting from August 2027)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons in History for secondary-level students.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment.
• Contribute to the school’s ethos by actively supporting character and values education.

Requirements:

• Holds an undergraduate Honours Degree in History and a recognised teacher qualification, i.e. Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent.
• Has a minimum of 4 years’ experience teaching IB/A-level or IGCSE History.
• Collaborates well with colleagues in the department on curriculum, assessment and resource development, as well as contribute to other departmental and school needs.
• Is adaptable, proactive, and an excellent communicator.
